Bio: Practising artist and trained secondary school art teacher. My art practice is concerned with exploring the boundaries between the internal and external self; particularly in relation to the unconscious and the artists selection and use of different materials as personal symbols. The invisible processes of our bodies as a complex network of flow production and flow interruptions fascinates me. Alongside the parallels we have with our homes to our internal and external selves. I am currently exploring the inseparability of mental and social spaces and how we inhabit two distinct and separate worlds; one is private, mental "interior", the other physical, public " external". I am particularly interested in the fusion of interior and exterior, where one form encloses another as an interlinking space.
